Ayurveda is an ancient medical system rooted in the wisdom that disease starts as an imbalance in the body and/or mind.   If we can identify and correct the imbalance early, the disease is not able to flourish.  

Four main inputs are believed to be the source (and cure) for imbalance:

  • Food
  • Water
  • Breath
  • Perception

To bring balance back to the body and mind, Ayurveda utilizes yoga (asana), pranayama (breathing exercises), nutrition, and herbal protocols all custom tailored to the patient (Rogi) and their state of imbalance.

Of note: Ayurveda places tremendous amounts of responsibility on the patient.  The practitioner is just a guide but the patient is responsible for integrating the therapies and making real and lasting changes.  We, as practitioners, fully trust our patients and empower them to reclaim their health.
